This spicy beef dish can be served for either lunch or dinner.
1 Pound Lean beef round steak
4 Tablespoon Cooking oil
1 Teaspoons Sugar
2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
2 Bell peppers, cut into ¾" squares
1 Yellow onion, cut into ¾" squares
8 to 10 Hot chilies, discard stems
2 Tablespoon Cornstarch, mix with 2 Tablespoon water
2 Tablespoon Oyster sauce
1 to 2 Tablespoon Fish sauce
¾ Cup Water
- Slice beef into thinly 2" strips.
- In a wok, heat oil and stir-fry the garlic until light brown.
- Stir in beef to cook for 5 minutes until brown.
- Add bell peppers, yellow onion, hot chilies, sugar, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and water
- Cook for 3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch mixture and cook till the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over Jasmine rice.
