Joining the army on September 4, 1914, Nogues served with an artillery regiment before his transfer to aviation on his twenty-first birthday. He received a Pilot's Brevet on May 20, 1916, he received additional training before being assigned to Escadrille N12 on September 26, 1916. He scored his first two victories in the spring of 1917 but was captured on April 13, 1917 when he was shot down by Albert Dossenbach of Jasta 36. |
